Pillow Cube Review: Who the Square Shape May Suit
Pillow Cube starts with a straightforward idea: a side sleeper’s shoulder leaves a gap between the head and mattress, so a blockier pillow may fill that space more evenly. That can be useful for the right sleeper. If you roll onto your back or stomach, the same tall edges may feel restrictive. We reviewed published product information and basic fit principles; this is not a hands-on test.

The idea behind the square shape
Sleeping on your side leaves more room between your ear and the bed than sleeping on your back. A taller pillow can fill that space, but more height is not always better. A broad-shouldered person on a firm mattress may need considerably more loft than someone whose shoulder sinks into a plush mattress.
It makes the most sense for…
Someone who stays on one side for most of the night and dislikes how a traditional pillow slopes at the edges is the clearest candidate. A combination sleeper will usually have more freedom with a lower or adjustable-fill pillow.
Questions to ask about firmness and heat
Dense foam usually feels steadier than loose fill, but it can handle warmth differently. If you sleep hot, look beyond a cool-to-touch cover: check the core design, care instructions and return window. Many foam cores cannot go in a washing machine.
Pick the height with your mattress in mind
Your own height tells only part of the story. Shoulder width and mattress sink change the gap the pillow has to fill. Compare the listed loft with a pillow that already feels close to neutral, and notice whether your head tends to tilt up or drop down.
Bottom line
Pillow Cube is a specialist design, not an automatic upgrade. It is worth a look when a side sleeper needs more loft at the pillow edge. If you regularly change positions, start with something easier to adjust.
